I hope you also plan to visit a couple of stores that, while not exclusively chocolate-centric, sell candy and are lots of fun. 

Dylan's Candy Bar, at 1011 Third Avenue (near Bloomingdale's) is a Willy Wonka dream of a candy store, with sweets embedded in the staircase. http://www.dylanscandybar.com/

The Sweet Life at 63 Hester Street on the Lower East Side. A landmark that has a huge selection and surprisingly low prices. http://www.sweetlifeny.com/

Economy Candy, at 108 Rivington Street (same area as The Sweet Life) is a NYC institution. They carry just about every candy known to man or beast and treat you like a member of the family. http://www.economycandy.com/</description>

		<description>I usually disgree with most of the recommendations I find out About.com. Even when they name the right place (Jacques Torres), they name the wrong item as the "must." 

The "must" at Jacques Torres is the Wicked Hot Chocolate, spiked with allspice, cinnamon, ground, sweet ancho chili peppers, and smoked, ground chipotle chili peppers. 

The "must" at Li-Lac (by the way, they have a branch at Grand Central Terminal) is the French Cream Rolls. 

Places missing from your list include:
- Max Brenner's Chocolate by the Bald Man, recently opened at  841 Broadway (near Union Square). http://www.maxbrenner.com/
- Leonidas luxuriously rich Belgian truffles at 485 Madison Avenue. http://www.leonidas-chocolate.com/
- Serendipity III at 225 East 60th Street (bet. 2nd &#38; 3rd Aves) for FROZEN hot chocolate. http://www.serendipity3.com/</description>
